Nice shots Ian. Looks like the EAL 732 is going to end its days there. Did you photoshop SX-RFA - mighty fine balancing act if you didn't You've also answered a age long question I had. Having watched a video on youtube of the CL44 in the US, I often wondered if it made it to the UK for preservation. It obviously made it but not quite in a museum yet. I maybe wrong here but I seem to recall seeing a photo of it at LJLA as the hangars were being built. If its the same one, would the Jetstream club take it on or have they got enough on their hands already? Steve

There was only the one Guppy conversion of a CL-44 by Conroy an Aerospacelines associate company. Designated CL-44-0 and named Skymonster. For much of its career it was (at nominally) UK based with a series of registrations N447T, EI-BND, 4K-GUP and 9J-LCA operated by Transmeridian Air Cargo, British Cargo Airlines and Heavylift Cargo Airlines while under US and Eire registry. Suspect last flew 7.99, although it might have flown in 2002. At one stage an irregular visitor to Liverpool on Ford freight flights. The visits to Liverpool are covered on the 'EGGP History and Memories' section, in a thread 'Guppies, Belugas and Skymonster at Liverpool'.
See wikipedia entries for Conroy and CL-44-0 Skymonster for further info on the conversion.
