It's a debate , yes and about an hugely important issue but I'm yet to see much in the way of facts. Much of what I've read so far are sweeping statements based on stereotypes and prejudice. Frankly, given I seem to be in the minority here anyway and my opionions dismissed as "spiel" I'll leave you to it.

Being in the minority does not mean you are wrong. One of the big problems with this kind of subject is that those who do not see the dangers believe that the arguments from the other side are about stereotypes and prejudices. Prejudices are not wrong if they are correct, and there are plenty of facts, many of which are swept under the carpet. I like this article which lines up my sympathies with the Palestinians and at the same time tells us a lot about the dangers of Islamification and how it is being fuelled now and will be in the future. True, it is written in The Independent, which actually it is not, but it is from informed opinion. www.independent.co.uk/voices/the-true-gaza-backstory-that-the-israelis-arent-telling-this-week-9596120.htmlAnd as for that stuff posted by the Policeman in Birmingham, you better believe every word of it, looking only at the recent report into Trojan horses in schools as our evidence. And from this side of the channel, for Birmingham you could substitute, Marseilles, Lyon, Lille and vast swathes Paris. These are nogo areas where even the police go in tens. These are nogo areas because of the crime and risks of personal attack. These are areas where Muslims mostly predominate, and some other African ethnic groups. (And yes I can hear the response. "The cause is poverty not ethnicity.") In that case explain why the two poorest departments of France La Creuse and La Vendee are the two most crime free. Maybe it is because they are predominantly poor French and not poor ethnics. I have lived a sheltered life in Rural Wiltshire and in Rural France, but I have travelled extensively and I have seen trouble coming our way for a long time. I have done my best make my children aware of the facts and to shelter them from the effects. I hope they can do the same for theirs. We can only find the solution when we acknowledge the problem. That applies at a personal level which is easy, but it must apply at a political level too which is far more difficult, so we have to be active.

Well said. The ex PM of Israel Golda Meir had it spot on when she said.
"We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us."
How appropriate even today. Pity nobody listened.
