A nice day today for a slow walk round the island to see the progress on the bridge , Widnes side has now got two large cranes same as Runcorn plus you can now see the platform being extended out the same as Runcorn , we will over the next couple of months see these platforms extend over the river to meet in the middle (we hope) . Plenty of people there today just to see the bridge works, not much can been seen on the Widnes side but it looks like a lot of ground work is taking place not much to see as there are large mounds of earth blocking the view . Here are some photo's taken of the site, plus a couple of others.
Next are some Swans landing on the canal, I watched with interest as they do land like aircraft , downwind turn into wind and land.
