1. The UK and the world to have given in to the fact that the Ebola Virus rampant in areas of Africa will arrive in UK as a result are preparing isolation wards one for eg at Liverpool. Why hasn`t a total embargo been placed on travel from these countries which would prevent ANY person leaving an infected country and arriving in a disease free one. It sounds draconian but this disease if allowed to become a world pandemic will be far worse. America has place special checks and medical restrictions on incoming African flights at 5 airports. ? only 5 so what prevents an infected person switching flights to one that isn`t on alert ? 2. If this terror group I.S is now on the Border of Turkey and seems free to advance at will despite US and other air force air strikes. Why as Turkey is part of NATO hasn`t the rest of NATO starting to stand shoulder to shoulder with deterrent forces in support of Turkey. The lines of Turkish tanks seem impotent at the moment watching the destruction of a nearby city. If these lunatics enter Turkey the West is in serious trouble.

Good questions, Biggles!
As usual. money plays its part, but ideology too.
If the Ebola disease is as serious as we are led to believe, there should be a proper effort to control it instead of the half hearted attitude taken at the moment.
If the threat from IS is as serious as we are led to believe, there should be a proper effort to eliminate it, instead of the half hearted attitude at the moment.
Turkey is a member of NATO, because it suited us at the time with its proximity to the USSR. the way things are turning out there, maybe its just as well it stays in NATO. As a NATO country if it is infiltrated by IS, other NATO countries will have the excuse they need to make war. Turkey is certainly not European, god forbid that it ever will be part of the EU, and it has its own agenda to exterminate the Kurds. In this respect, IS is doing its work for them. However just as the USA equipped the Taliban in Afghanistan to expel the Russians, these similar acts of folly, allowing IS to gain ground, will payback to Turkey in a very bad way, and involve us all. In my opinion, we have an option.
1 Get involved with proper full blown military action, even in the case of the Ebola.
or
2 Withdraw our military from every sphere of conflict, bring them all home to be retrained as home guard or border guards, responsible for keeping the UK borders safe and rooting out terrorists and fifth columnists. The RAF will take on a intercept and coastal defence roles and the Navy will be boosted to keep our merchant ships safe on the high seas.
Protect our islands and keep our noses out of everything else.

The small backlash appears to have worked as today despite the fact that the UK takes more visitors from the infected African countries than ANY other country in the world (if that aint a concern on its own)it seems the Health people are not overly concerned and initially had no intention to have health checks at airports not withstanding that American and Australia have done so and others are considering to do so. The UK seems to have backtracked a bit and are now checking incoming passengers from the Infected countries, even though oddly enough outbound flights from the UK are suspended to the infected African states, (seems mad its only one way prevention). Not sure stating that Ebola will arrive in the UK anyway is comforting to anyone. We are an island and sensible prevention measures could and should have been instigated before we got to this stage.
Re IS I have no doubt it is manned by total lunatics who have been brought up on murderous video games or are just plain mental health cases. It is clearly a serious world threat so much so that other Terror Groups are steering clear of them. I feel totally disheartened watching Nato troops sitting armed to the teeth watching the destruction of a city and people less than 100 yards from them, and within range of snipers.
Lastly the boss of NASA want to send a British person up to Mars, can I suggest Clegg after watching his ramblings in a so called party political message, any Martians there may understand what he was on about.

You might care to ask who is financing ISIS or what every they are called. Qatar maybe, or Saudi, or maybe they just robbed banks? Yes its all of this, but wait till you discover that THE ISRAELIS ARE FINANCING ISIS too.
You think I am off my head. My Palestinian friend who lives in Kuwait told me. I did not believe him. I thought he was pulling my leg until I Googled it and saw it for myself on the BBC news website. Apparently they have been buying oil from the Kurdish controlled area of Iraq for someme time, and now some of the oil in IS hands is finding its way through Turkey to Israel.Just go look for it and ask yourself wtf is going on?

Ron The world as we knew it has apparently imploded.
Turkey are happy to watch this occur as they hate the Kurds more than IS ?
Not sure what that position will be when IS fanatics want extend their lifestyle or murderous style into Turkey even if the very people who want to prevent it happening are now being allowed to be eradicated by apathy on the part of all NATO members.
