Not being a footy fan myself it always make me laugh when the Team Managers get sacked, as in this case with John Barnes after Tranmere lost 10 out of 14 matches played. Now there was me thinking that the Footballers on the pitch played the game not the managers sitting on the bench ? The players are paid a handsome wage to win games not just play for time. ?

Caretaker Manager Les Parry has stated that he had mixed emotions of taking over the hotseat !!!! at Prenton Park and was sad to see the "Gaffer"(John Barnes) go as he thought he was a nice person etc. Parry is looking forward to the challenge of managing the "Team" and he has his own ideas of how the team should play etc. He wants the team to work hard and stay fit and that the team should be one, that other teams hate playing against, because of their work rate. He has stated they have the ability to do this. Lets hope, they get a good result against Stockport County on Monday night, next week. No doubt the "Rumour Squad" will be giving out likely names that will apply for the "Vacancy", within the next few days. Lets wait and see!!!!!!. In the meantime good luck to Les and Shaun.

Apprantley Tranmere haven't got a pot to pi** in with regards to money so what decent manager would apply when there will almost certainaly be better jobs coming up during the season. Lets hope Mr Jonhson does'nt run them in to the ground.

The only name I have seen mentioned with an interest of becoming the Manager of T.R.F.C. is the current Manager of League Two Bury, Alan Knill. He has said that he is interested in the vacancy. Early days still, who knows what tomorrow will bring !!!!!!. Cheers. DOUGLAS12
