In february 2013,while I was in Nepal for a couple of weeks I took mountain sightseeing flight with Simrik airlines in a Beech 1900,hope you like the pictures.
Check in is at the domestic terminal.
Boarding our Beechcraft 1900 9N-AGL,at Kathmandu Tribhuvan airport,for an hour fight along the eastern himalaya range,with sightings of Everest and K2,among others
The other mountain operator is Buddha air they also use Beech1900s,but the D model with the extended fuselage roof,

The Nepalese Army Air force were still using a HS748 at the time!
Within 30 minutes,we were flying past Everest at an altitude of 21000 feet,
We the turned 180 degrees and headed back to KTM,

Our flight crew kindly invited me up to the flight deck.
Somewhere there is the holy mountain,not as high as Everest or K2,but it has never been climbed,and is sacred to the Buddhist gods of the mountain,no climbing permits will ever issued for the Holy mountain!

Nepal is a wonderful country,although on my visit apart from being ill,there were frequent general strikes,and threats from Maoists,but thats travel!here are some shots of Kathmandu,
Cafe Nirvana has the best view of Kathmandu it is at Swayambhu the Monkey temple,and to get there you have to climb 365 steps one for every day of the year!
