Had a walk round to see the progress on the approach road and the Coffer Dam on the Widnes side. Here's a few photo's.
CANAL SIDE WORKS FOR APPROACH ROAD
THE ORANGE BLOCK OVER THE FOOTPATH SIGN APPEARS TO BE SURROUNDED IN THE GROUND BY STEEL WORK AND I THINK THIS MAY BE THE INTERNAL REINFORCEMENT FOR A SUPPORT FOR THE ROADWAY NEXT TIME I VISIT I WILL CHECK THIS OUT.
Thanks for looking

Is that floating beer keg an essential piece of equipment JJ If your care to take a walk along the towpath at the side of the canal , from the boathouse up to were the canal is now blocked for the building of the new bridge you will see about 3 or 4 of these beer kegs . These kegs indicate mooring positions for some of the boats and are a lot cheaper than the proper buoys.
