They look to be mostly Reshanks plus some which could be Turnstones..... You need a longer lens. Phil.

Brilliant shots, living opposite the sea wall i nearly take these sort of views for granted. The lighthouse one for me is the best. Just think how much the similar lighthouse shot made for the photographer as it is seen on posters and nearly everything else. Your timjng was spot on.

Get yourself a camera Biggles see what you can do outdoors with those pictures that we like to see and maybe in amongst the birds maybe a few Purple Sandpiper's there too along with the rest.

Barfleur,
Was up on a quick visit to see my mum over the past 2 days - Took her Morrisons new brighton yesterday and nearly had her blown across the car park -Was probably as stormy/windy as your photos show from the other day! Sand was being whipped horizontally over the sea wall - Came back sandblasted but very refreshed! Sadly no time for any planes or a visit to LJPL - Was thinking about it until I found the M6 was shut southbound (Again! was the same last time I came up) So it was off through mid Cheshire.
