This Saturday and Sunday saw another diesel weekend at ELR - Photos taken from Irwell Vale.

Great shots.
From memory as I lived in Burnley for 22years -the line used to go on to Bacup through some pretty hairy little tunnels.
Are they lost now or is retoration a possibility?
I also remember getting on the train at Rawtenstall and getting to Accrington--or I think I did--time circa 1969-85--may have changes at Blackburn but |I am not certain.

John, I think you would need a passport to do that journey now, and be prepared to ride on the outside, hanging on.
