The number of Ryanair flights this summer is down to only 167 flights-a-week, some 21 less than originally published.
Previously announced was the ending of flights to Lodz, Faro & Beauvais. Adding to this now is Budapest, Gdansk and Szczecin. Valencia is also not going to recommence.
Flights have been trimmed on numerous routes. Derry down to 6, Dublin to 21, Knock to 6, Limoges to 4, Murcia to 6, Pisa to 6, Riga to 2, Shannon drastically to 3, Tenerife to 2(but still more than last summer) and Venice also well down at 3.
These are in addition to previously announced cuts such as Rome to 4 and Stockholm to 2.
The only good news is that Malaga has increased to daily and the Krakow service that at one time could not be booked after June now continues for the rest of the season.

Mixed news there Tony, and not really surprising.
I still think that LPL will continue to hold its own as a Lo-Cost hub during this economic crisis and we'll see it come through in a very healthy position and ready to re-build when the time's right.
Other airports and carriers will be watching with interest.

All is not well at Ryanair, despite the usual rhetoric from MOL,you can expect more cuts and next winter well dont even think about it,however I see they are increasing CRL/MAN to daily from 1st june,,a route that in my opinion should have been operated from LPL,we are currently not in favour with Ryanair for some reason.
