Visited here for the 1st time, and spent about 3-4 hours wandering about. There wasn't much variety out on the meres, the majority of sightings were black headed gulls, who have nested on the islands and are rearing their young, and loads of common shelducks. 4 whooper swans have been left behind by the visiting flock on their way to Iceland. Noted 2 oystercatcher chicks and 1 parent, and a couple of Avocets with a chick. All the photos were taken from the pools in the visitor centre057 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 055 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 051 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 048 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 046 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 042 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 036 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 034 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 030 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 027 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 026 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 025 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 024 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 017 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 002 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr 001 by CloudWarrior2010, on Flickr

Only a mother (Coot) could love a chick like that.
