Just heard a belter regarding the Greek crisis. I make no comment regarding politics in this it is just too funny but also too sad.
A Greek mayor visits his counterpart in Spain and notices that the Mayors residence is rather fine and very new.
He asks how this is possible with the economic climate of today and the austerity each nation is having to face because of overspending of hard working tax payers' money.
The Spaniard says"Do you see the new bridge paid for by Europe? It was to be two lane and cross the ravine comfortably."
The Greek mayor observed that the bridge was single lane and had traffic lights on each side to control the flow.
"Exactly" said the Spaniard.
Some months later on a reciprocal visit the Spaniard was overwhelmed by the lavish new mayoral residence of his Greek counterpart with its fountains, gardens and helipad.
"How did you manage to afford all this?" said the Spaniard with a touch of envy in his voice.
"Do you see the new bridge paid for by our European partners?"
"No" said the Spaniard.
"Exactly!" said the Greek.
Makes living in France with the current exchange rate even more pleasant.LOL
