Yes, bus 44 from Manchester but it was a long winded route through residential areas so I started to use the 104 which was more direct.

I took this shot of OH-KDA from the 'Brickworks' on April 17th 1981. I seem to remember it used to operate a Finnair freight service? It was a fitted with a 'swingtail' (CL-44 style). Any idea what its fate was? Cheers Shaun

How times have changed. Thanks to a friend having a brother in the airport police i was once lucky enough to go onboard said DC6. It arrived in the middle of the night in the mid 70s. We went on board and shown round the cabin by the captain who wore a WW2 flying jacket and had a v large whisky in the cup holder. We then stood by the runway as it took off. Happy days.
