Probably a bit late with this request but i thought it would be a good idea if it would have been possible for Dave or Paul to add a Poppy to the add on smilies so as we could show our support every time we use this forum.

Uranox, I was only asked yesterday to sign the petition at Downing Street, by clicking onto the aforementioned link and was also asked for further support by friends and family. I therefore thought if would interest members of this Forum to duly sign too. This request was made by an Ex. Member of H.M. Forces. I know its not too late to sign the petition. Cheers. DOUGLAS12.

I thought there was a motion to rename the town "Royal" Wootton Bassett ? which I feel would be more appropriate and less of a bonus point for terror supporters looking at the implications of the possible renaming of that section of road. Don`t take this entry the wrong way, I have family who has last week just returned from a tour as a combat medic in Afghanistan so anything to support them is fine with me, it`s just what is actually appropriate and this proposal to me infers a notch in the Taleban or Terror groups arsnel.I may be wrong ?

I, too, believe that Wootton Bassett should carry the prefix "Royal" for all the reasons that Biggles states. The people there have been a shining example of our concerns for our armed forces and clearly have the support of millions of citizens around the country.

Just an observation, but one would think that on a government petition that the correct spelling of the word "stretch" would be used. Appalling!!!

Why when the PM can not get the spelling of the name of a dead soldier correct amongst other errors in the letter, all blamed on poor eyesight ? Good job he doesn`t sign anything important then I guess
