On friday the haze & thermal currents in the upper air presented quite a challenge for high level photos. Some nice traffic passing but Lots of shots hit the bin. A flickr reject for me..Poor photo due to camera shake. Darn it ! I would have liked a clear shot of this at a better angle. Not straight OTT and fuzzy. Lufthansa D-AIGY A340 Star Alliance Livery FRA-YUL DLH478 FL360. The catch of the day for me,as I am a self confessed A340 fan. For my type of photography, this a/c type makes a great subject. This Lufty A343 looks very tidy indeed with its Star Alliance scheme newly installed in June this year. Massive trail @ fl360, this is my best shot of 25 frames i rattled off as she passed by. I give my cameras a real work out ! Lufthansa Airlines Airbus A340 D-AIGY by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Another frame of the same fine a/c Lufthansa Airlines Airbus A340 D-AIGY by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr i will rack up a few more to this post later.

Good shots there Radiostationx,I guess some of the bigger airlines are using the Avionics/underside bay area of the a/c as good advertising, nice clear shots considering the distance, and interesting text with it great! Calflier.

Calflier. Thanks Calflier, Yes the advertising has become a trend in recent times. I am unsure as to why BA do not slap a giant union flag decal or Crest + "To Fly,To Serve" on the underside of their A380 fleet, it is such a beautiful aircraft and IMHO it would look so much better. I await a petition to be raised which I will gladly sign. British Airways Airbus A380 G-XLEG by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr Lufthansa have not adopted this trend either but I envisage that this area could in the future become a flying advertising hoarding for other companies. Lufthansa Airbus A380-800 D-AIML by Mike (Radiostationx), on Flickr A VW/Audi logo on their a380s perhaps !
