Thought he would go on forever!,went to a Motorhead gig at Leeds in the mid 1990s,but it wasnt the Bomber tour sadly, where Lemmy, rode over the crowd on a Lancaster bomber made out of metal girders, not sure that would be allowed today, would have loved to have seen that! RIP Lemmy.

I did go to the Bomber tour at Leeds(winter 79/80 if memory allows).Problem was, they played the University and the roof was too low for the `bomber`! `twas a great gig though, memorably supported by a young Saxon who had just released their first album. In recent years they didn`t play Liverpool very often but I did go to what turned out to be their last show here in 2011.I had a ticket for the Manchester Apollo the following year but that tour was pulled. For road warriors like Motorhead this was VERY unusual and was the first sign that all was not well with Lemmy. So Liverpool University Mountord Hall Nov 2011 turned out to be the last time I saw them except for a rather distant view at a Download festival. This photo was taken at the old East German air base at Cottbus a few years back. East Germany 344 by Gareth Symington, on Flickr Quite why the Motorhead logo was painted on a motor transport shed wasn`t clear as the prop didn`t speak much English PS Can anyone id the cockpit canopy type in the photo?
