Hi guys, I have received a few phones recently to upgrade my contract. First was an iphone 5s, sent back charger faulty screen too small for me Then a samsung s5neo a new model, lovely screen but very light all plastic construction. Felt i would damage it first day in work and for £300 worth of payments i wasnt going to take the risk..returned. I have opted for a much cheaper option, and im glad i did. Motorola Moto G (3rd generation). What a device for the cash ! Im truly amazed. It is so fast, lovely screen and call quality is great. Runs Planeplotter Mobile real nice. FR24 is silky smooth. No Bloatware. Camera is great. Price : around £140 on payg Its got the lot, and its water proof. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ik-oQdtuXIGorilla glass screen. Just thrown a 32 gig samsung micro sd into it for 8 quid and im good to go. Front facing speaker, not like the tinny sounding s5neo placed at the back. The s5 neo was very nice indeed, stunning screen.. but the camera lens juts out from the body and you can damage it real easy. The whole phone doesnt give confidence as its so light and fragile. The motorola moto g phone won speed test contest against the £600+ flagship iphone 6 www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-2kkqENnukMotorola have shown apple, sony & samsung how to make a lot of device for not lot of dosh without cutting quality of internal parts. 5 star reviews everywhere on the net. Mike

I did a bit of a test, unfair really as the moto g has HDR mode where it combines 3 photos of differing exposure levels to create one image. The moto g 3rd generation has the same 13mp camera used in the much more expensive Google Nexus 6 phone which motorola manufactured for google last year. I used HDR mode on the moto g to show just how good it is, all photos taken within about 30 mins Decide for yourself, all photos resized only in photoshop to 1024 pix wide to display on the forum, no other editing. iphone 5 "vanilla" (not 5s) great device but too small screen for me with 8mp camera"]
Nokia Lumia 920 with carl zeiss optics (a great camera phone) 8mp camera (btw ,the birds are getting a late breakfast of slightly stale teacakes !)"]My new Moto g using HDR mode 13mp camera"]
look how the moto g handled the sky and the upper branches of those big trees against the sky at the bottom end of my garden compared to the others. Okay the saturation is a tad high on the moto on the greens which reminds me of all fujifilm cameras but thats not a bad thing imo. As said, truly amazed for a circa £120 very rapid device, fantastic audio in calls & a something thats built to last. Reminds me of Motorola of old, I had a few of their 2 way radios (too many years back) and converted them for 70cms mobile use..so strong you could knock a nail in with em and the audio quality was great.
