Sunday 14th.11am Right now heading towards Liverpool and visible near Burbo Wind farm is a huge Container ship Atlantic Star. It nakes the other ACL shops look small so presume its for the new cranes .

ACL will not use the new cranes at Liverpool 2; their ships have a massive stern ramp and the big tidal range in the river make loading and unloading impractical. It has been posted elsewhere that the new generation ACL ships are the same dimensions as the others, maybe the design makes them look bigger?

I went down to New Brighton along with what appeared to be the rest of the North West today to observe this vessel dock. Aided by bow and stern tugs it appeared to be entering the inner dock system at Seaforth. I haven't noticed the Atlantic Star previously probably as I am not really into ships but live with the river and sea views in my front garden. Id this a first visit for this ship ?
