Sorry for the late reply Aviationcafe,
My phone is a Nokia Lumia 610 , kindly passed on to me by a friend when he upgraded to a later model. It runs Windows 7.5 , and replaced my even older handset which could only talk and text.
Thanks for your help , Keith.

Hi Aviationcafe and Viscount, Thank you for the constructive suggestions. Unfortunately my phone does not run Firefox , only Internet Explorer. The search engines are Bing and Google , neither of which seem to offer image blocking without also excluding entire web sites. Obviously that is not helpful. Do you , or anybody out there , know if there is an image blocking option on the mobile app version of Internet Explorer ? I can achieve this function easily on the laptop computer , but that is not the objective. Still puzzled , Keith Hi Keith, If you have the Nokia 610 running windows you could try UC Browser from the windows phone store. You should have an icon which looks like a shopping bag (windows store), click on this one. Click on magnifying glass (search). Insert in text box "UC Browser". Download the app. There is an image blocking feature with this browser and txt only settings. Review of UC Browser for Windows PhoneIf your relative has any nokia 920 or 1020 models lying around volunteer willingly to take them of their hands, they may be a few years old but these are very very good phones for photography as they have carl zeiss optics and optical image stabalisation. Something you dont get with even the latest iphone 6 ! A 920 can be had for cheap money, years ahead of its time,it will blow iphone 5s and an iphone 6 out of the water for image quality imho. A 920 is a proper nokia (before they sold out to microsoft). Sample Nokia 920 image of BA B747Good Luck Keith, Hope UC Browser sorts out your problem. Seems to pass the compatability test for windows phone 7.5 app4smart.com/en/wp/nokia-lumia-610/1881-uc-browser.htmlMike
