We came from N Wales into South Liverpool via the tunnel having heard all about the chaos at Widnes/Runcorn .Having visited the airport, and being in no great rush decided to take a chance and have a look at the bridge(es). No problems at all and must have just been a couple of hours before blueaircraft79 but the thing is ,it still grates me about the tolls prospect.I mean who's paying for this new bridge? Is anybody doing anything about a petition or approaching the local politicos about tolls .Or do we the sheep just roll over (as usual)and accept what we are given. And before anyone asks ,no I am not the sort to get a petition going as I leave that to more knowledgeable people that me.

I suspect we'll all just roll over. It should of course be publicly funded and as part of our national road infrastructure included in the already high cost of road use. Still, better to spend "our" money on something really useful like trident...😀
