It will need an apron which I believe was in the original plan.

At the moment the apron we have is large enough to be able to cope with say 2 flights per night. If the operation were to expand then maybe a new ramp could go by TNT if the money is available.

If I remember rightly the TNT site was to have parking for 3 Bae 146 aircraft on the original plan.

In the exact same thread about FedEx moving from December, it was also stated that FedEx have signed a new 3 year deal with MAN.

If I remember rightly from my tour of the TNT facility a few moons ago, non of it is air side so any plans to use it would have to have include extra security and wouldn't it also have to go through the council planning department for a change in operations?

Actually VCTR that post was by you and mentioned a contract signed to 2018, (i.e. not for 3 years) which could well mean ending December 2017. There is a logic to forcing cargo out given that the aircraft sit around taking up space all day at a time when MAN will be struggling for space for passenger aircraft.

Extra security could be as little as a staffed security gate. There would be no change of use - it's a cargo facility at an airport now and would still be a cargo facility at an airport if it started serving flights. It was built on the expectation of serving TNT aircraft (from memory they were originally going to use the Tango stands until demand was such a separate apron was required) so suspect very little adaptation would be required.

No it's not the thread on this site, there is another thread which has now appeared somewhere else where people are claiming Lufthansa cargo moving to EMA and Fedex to LPL, but someone else has stated FedEx have been after tenders for the new 3 year contract signed with MAN taking them up to 2020 at least. The contracts include staff coaching, handling and hotac.
