There are a number of families days through the summer and I normally get to attend the main one. However, this year the operations day in June featured some vintage aircraft and I help a team of marshallers at various events look after these so found myself on the ramp with the local VAS doing a bit of arm waving!! Ex RAF Bulldog paying a visit Local and not too often seen C.1P on the ramp DC-8s are common visitors to Lyneham mainly Air Charter Expres (now I believe Meridian) but also this beauty Local Jetranger gave flights to families and we looked after loading and unloading The main families day also had some vintage flyers but I opted for a day off and went as a guest. Fox Moth heads for its slot One of Team Viper but the one I really wanted to photograph ;D With part of the fleet green and part grey panels get swopped on the locals Finally the offer of free fuel lured this beastie from nearby Brize Norton I hope this gives a flavour of my local, I'll move on to Kemble and Benson next where we also helped out!!
