I have not seen it reported anywhere but G-BCSL made a precautionary landing on Sunday 4th December at Poulton airfield with a rough running engine all were OK. The aircraft wasn't damaged? but has not been flown back to Liverpool yet.

You are correct, G-BCSL did make a precautionary landing at Poulton. Repaired on the ground and ferry flight back to Liverpool about three weeks later.

That is a relief that it wasn't damaged, and no injuries. Is the aircraft airworthy and still active at Liverpool? Don't see any reference to it anymore. It is a very smart looking aircraft.

On 4th December 2016 G-BCSL left LJLA, booked out for a flight to Sleap. It was flown back to LJLA around midday on 20th December. The aircraft has not flown yet in 2017 - presumably on an extended inspection and repair to ensure the problem does not re-occur. I'm sure it will be back in the air once the owners are ready.

I believe G-BCSL is now the subject of legal action as the Directors of Chipmunk Fliers Ltd have not paid Ravenair for hangarage, maintenance and fuel. In addition the Shareholders have taken action against the Directors for shall we say financial 'irregularities'. SL was getting into a poorer and poorer material state, which is odd for a well funded group. A real shame it has come to this.
