Well deserved for a man of the people. Best one-liner last night was when he said of his Knighthood, "I will wear it in bed".

About time too, even though he gave the Inland Revenue a bloody nose. He even went to my school, although many years earlier.

Was lucky enough to see Doddy in many places in the 70's and 80's - from the Manchester Apollo in panto to a stand up performance at a club in Llay
A humble and approachable man who was happy to sign autographs and pose for piccies. A good guy.

Thoroughly deserved - should have happened years ago.
And far more befitting than some of the johnny-come-lately's who get a gong for five minutes work.
Whether or not the honours system is something that people agree with, somebody like Sir Ken Dodd who has given literally a lifetime to entertainment deserves some sort of recognition.

Arise Sir Ken!! Yes, very richly deserved - not only a very funny man, great ambassador for the City, generous benefactor (in time and money) to numerous charities, but also (and most importantly!) the President of The Friends of Liverpool Airport (FoLA)
Huge congratulations to Sir Ken from his loyal subjects - the members of FoLA both past and present.
