Hi John
As you know I am researching into the aviator Jules Vedrines, the second aviator to land a plane in St Helens, and his Borel Morane monoplane. I believe Moranes became Morane Saulnier which was eventually swallowed up by EADS.
Based in France would you know any sites that may be able to provide info on either him or his monoplane?
Cheers
Griff

Hello Griff, There is a magazine called Fana de l'Aviation. Its a bit like Air Pictorial in UK. (One of my neighbours has every one since they started publishing in the 60's.) I have provided a link which may help. I will ask some of my French aviator friends about your specific question when I see them next. Ron T www.aerostories.org/~aerobiblio/article2703.html

;D Hi Griff, Ron is certainly the best source here. My French friends are not interested in aviation as such--they would prefer to be out shooting and killing things.LOL So I only meet aviation bufffs at airports. I will still try--could I have your full name on the private line so I can follow your advice re the early aviators in StHelens.
Good luck with the search--if anyone can find it Ron can, .
