They have started to dis-mantle the large movable frame that was used to add width to the bridge. Good to see the progress thanks to all these contributions. Three questions.
Is the span now complete? Who gets to make the first end to end passage, either by foot or vehicle?
If nobody yet, how about a raffle, for the privilege, to fund a local charity?

The bridge section is basically complete Ron but they seem to be still working on one of the joints. Many, many suggestions are banded about on whom will be the first to cross but I suppose the workmen are "first across" every day. They wanted to have a walk thru' for every one but that was knocked back as they need it open as soon as possible.The roads especially at the Runcorn side are almost finished and are looking great with new trees planted in place of the ones cut down. I have now received my window sticker for the toll readers. It is hard to believe that it could read such a small bar code from that height as it only measures 10cm x 2cm. Regards Beemer.
