Found this one which was taken I suspect on an old Boots Beirette camera, more for the U-8 ;D

Interesting you can see all apron markings. I thought old apron was devoid of them? Are they to mark stands or bays?

Re:"apron markings",they were to show the customs area, everything outside that was classed as the domestic apron. That all changed when hanger No.2 was made into the "international ARR+DEPS terminal".

FYI,
The 'Customs Area' was also known as 'Olley's Area' in reference to the then senior HMC Officer George Olley! BTW, that was in the EG/CS/DA days of the mid-60s! Cheers,

....and the other one. I flew a couple of times when I was a lot younger on Cambrian Viscounts and wish I had taken a lot more pics in the 70s!! What a beautiful aeroplane! Attachments:
