Hi all, well the time has come to finally tie the not this Saturday (16th). Nerves are playing a big part now, will the photographer arrive etc etc, we have a routemaster bus booked too so...will it breakdown etc... Any tips and advice from fellow NWAN'ers on the big day? Cheers, Steve

Lets put this in proportion. If you are only worried about the photographer, weather, catering, transport, Best Man, speeches, in-laws, DJ, accommodation, the effect of sherry on Aunt Elsie, your trouser seam splitting: then no big deal as you can laugh about the catastrophe(s) as a shared experience afterwards ...... nervous that your lady is actually going to turn up, then panic should consume the sleepless hours!
Seriously, congratulations and enjoy your big day.

Thanks for the wishes, I'm currently in a Premier Inn looking forward to the breakfast while our house is a girls only zone and keeing with the tradition of not seeing the Bride before the wedding. Hope she turns up lol

Thanks for the replies guys, the day went smooth. Now I have to book the honeymoon, absolutley no plane spotting I promised, so now I have to decide bewteen the Beatriz Playa in Matagorda Lanzarote or Caletta in Fuerteventura or maybe the Hotel Roc Linda in Majorca perhaps?

Hi columbo, Caletta is okay, Nuevo Horizonte the town next door is short 5 min seafront walk away and slightly better imho. Stay here and you can walk down a track running parallel to the main FV-2 road following the coastline to some secluded beaches, maybe have a tapas lunch in El Mattoral across the way. New York is as hot as Caletta at the mo. Probably cheaper as well, certainly on the flights due to the fierce competition, the key to doing NY on a budget is to hotel out of Manhattan. I imagine that you will spend a fair bit of time in the hotel. I can recommend the Hilton Garden Inn, Queen's, NY. Hamilton and Rockaway beaches nearby. Sweet Subway for sightseeing a few mins away.

Hi radiostationx
Thanks for the info, I tried to convince that New York would be good but instead Andrea has chosen Caletta staying at the Barcelo Hotel. Looks a bit too under the flightpath from the hotel so maybe need a walk around.
Cheers

Very nice Steve, Yes the Barcelo hotel is dead on the glide slope but if you walk 300m or so around the promenade pathway to the castle/pool bar at Barcelo club el Castillo you can get nice shots with a 70-210/70-300. The sun is in a good position for photos of the approaching a/c for the majority of the day. Nice hotel Steve, all rooms sea view I think. I stayed there a few months after it opened about 10 or so years back.
