Well this will be my first Italeri project. Its probably going to be my biggest kit (currently a 1/72 Concorde). The box is et up as the 25th anniversary of the gulf war and gives you 4 different markings:- 58-0173, 1708 BW, King Abdul Aziz, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 1991, 'lets make a deal' 57-6515, 801 BW, Moron, Spain, 1991, 'Mohawk Warrior' 57-6473, 5300 BW, Diego Garcia AFB, 1991, 'Hard T'get' 58-0251, 379 BW, Wurtsmith AFB, 1977. I would be strung up by my better half if I made something that size . I look forward to the updates on it Chris. My next project will be a lot smaller. Colin

Just a quick update. Painted and built the cockpit, as it should be all was simple to put together with clear instructions. Went a bit off key with the painting but i doubt once built much detail can be seen.
IMG_9536 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr IMG_9537 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr I thought I would show you how 2/4 of the fuselage fit together. The connector slides into a fitting on the inside of the front quarter. As seen below IMG_9539 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr This is the view from the inside. IMG_9540 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr A bit of a dry run to show both sections together. IMG_9538 by Christopher Newton, on Flickr I hope your enjoying the progress so far, any questions/advice don't hesitate to input as it is always welcome. Chris

Chris,
You may find you need a bit of filler on some of the sections of the B-52, I know from reading on various kit forums that they do tend to need some.
Was eyeing one of these up a while ago, but I wouldn't have the space to place the finished kit when it was built!

Yes I've noticed that, of what I've read it could be a pain of a kit.
I didn't think I would have room for it but I'm making sure there is space for it. I've always had a fascination with the B-52 since reading Flight Of The Old Dog as a kid.

Chris I may get some build thread's up at some point, have a few kits which I definitely want to get finished by the end of the year i.e 1/72 Mustang, 1/48 mosquito (tamiya), 1/200 Tu-95, Ducati 1199, italeri f-117 etc.

That would be good, I wouldn't mind seeing the TU-95 and the F-117.

Have you had to do any filling of gaps yet Chris? I hope your dog is better also.

Unfortunately he passed away Friday night, not yet but I noticed the wings don't look right (there is no flex pulling them down) looks like there is a major issue with the parts. Will give an update after further inspection.
