Ste, I have seen them abseil on the support cables when wrapping with Denso tape but not other wise.During the week you can not cycle across but a free bus is available for bike and riders but you can ride across at weekends. Beemer.

Great to see you are still photographing the on going works Beemer, having been close to the gatehouse on the Runcorn side a couple of times with work you can definitely see its quite a task that Balvac are undertaking, before the work starts on the road on the bridge.

Work on the old bridge and the new one. Work on the old one, Silver jubilee bridge is very slow indeed as it should have re-opened after 12 months but could be another 12 at least. Sand blasting continues inside this "tent" on the Runcorn side. Bulldog I hadn't realized myself that the temporary bridge was being dismantled till then. i went along to-day to have a look and they have removed the centre third of it.These are a few photos of on-going work. I think it drove over the sand to the shore before the tide turned.
