Have we all altered our clocks from the weekend? I did most on Saturday evening, things like microwave, kitchen clock etc. all easy to do. My old grandfather clock is a different kettle of fish as you can not wind it backwards. You have to stop it and re-start it one hour later and you generally forget and go to bed and have to restart it when it reaches the indicated time. My little cheap and nasty Casio F-91W I had to go on-line for instructions on how to do it. My very good watches are stopped any way ( to save having expensive batteries fitted) and just push the winder in to start when needed. Two things I forget every year are my car radio clock that still needs changing not like cars that change automatically and my camera. I can never remember how to change the car time as it via the indicator stalk. I hate having the wrong date on my photos and it happens when you are in Europe and they are an hour out from ours. I did my car about an hour ago so all done now. Beemer.

Changed everything except the clock in the bedroom. Woke up, 0511am thought ok get up. Went down stairs, checked my phone, 0411 am. Wasn't happy. Slept good last night.

I remember one year we were working the weekend shift one lad asked do the clocks go forward or back quick as a flash I said remember the saying spring back and fall forward as you do when drunk, thinking he had a bit more sense but Sunday morning he arrived two hours early and I got a telling off from the boss for doing it then he said I still am laughing at it that he believed you,he also got two hours overtime for his troubles

It's pretty weird if you're doing a night shift on ops when the clocks change. Of course the system runs on GMT all year round for reporting purposes, so that's no different, but when the clocks go back in real time you work an extra hour - try convincing the admin staff of that! You can guarantee when they go forward, that at least one of the ops staff/crew and a lot of the pax will turn up late.
I changed some the of clock-driven devices back before I went to bed last night, but forgot about the standard lamp, which is on a timer, until that is, it came on in bright sunshine this afternoon!

It's been fun translating times from Oz to UK too At the beginning of the month we were 9 hours in front of UK (so I had to add 3 to our time to get to UK time - i.e 7pm here was 10am in UK). Our clocks went forward 1 hour in the first week of October putting us 10 hours in front (add +2), now you have gone back an hour so we are 11 in front (add +1). It's made timings on the Hawarden movements threads interesting!!
