As promised some shots. First up P&V West. I have only used this on departures and to be honest I don't have quite enough lens for the smaller aircraft taking off, 400mm is probably required for full frame.
Not as much stuff comes down the taxiway although when it does it is very close and not too many aircraft do fancy departures anymore!! Also those that climb like rockets will be out of reach
These were taken '05 and '07 - I have tended to go East since then and some will follow. HTH make up your mind ;D
Park and View East has far more in the way of facilities and is bigger!! Better loos, stalls and the American Burger bar with memories of USAF Open Houses ;D
Landings, take offs and taxi shots are all possible. The only things you may miss are the helos, which depart over the back and anything which takes the mid point, but to be honest that's stuff that is Grob sized!!
These were all taken using a 70-200mm from the show that never was ;D

Hope don't mind gwoof, if I add a few of my shots from P&V East
Crowd enclosure, non stepladder area-best spot to shoot aircraft crossing main runway. But since last year, the display aircraft now operate from the North side and cross taxy shots are fewer.
The helos pass quite close when going to their static locations !!
The perimeter fence at P and V east-The stepladder area goes right up to the fence. You can shoot from the road,as seen in pic,but trees, and high sided trucks can cause problems !!
