Spent a pleasant few hours yesterday in and around Flint Castle. One of the towers has recently re-opened after having a staircase and "crow's nest" viewing platform fitted.
I live about 5 miles from the castle and it's the first time I've actually "been inside"

Visited about 40 years ago when the girls were little and they were given a sheet of paper with all the masons marks on it ...what was going to be a quick 10 minute leg stretch turned out to be about 2 hours long as they would not leave until they had found them all!!

Graham I have lived half a mile from Halton Castle for fifty odd years and I went inside last year for the first time. Nice photos. Beemer.
