Hi folks, had a drive down to the Auster 80th Anniversary event at Middle Wallop, here are some of the pictures of the ones that braved the weather. Enjoy. 1-IMG_4294-001 by Rob Stock, on Flickr 1-IMG_4289-001 by Rob Stock, on Flickr 1-IMG_4292-001 by Rob Stock, on Flickr 1-IMG_4299-001 by Rob Stock, on Flickr 1-IMG_4307-001 by Rob Stock, on Flickr 1-IMG_4312-001 by Rob Stock, on Flickr 1-IMG_4313-001 by Rob Stock, on Flickr 1-IMG_4314-001 by Rob Stock, on Flickr

Like Rob I attended this event on the Saturday. Was slightly disappointed by the turnout - the event website listed over 50 Auster's for the fly-in on the Saturday plus about a dozen other aircraft (including Hawarden-based G-JDOG, which didn't make it). In the end I think 16 fly-ins were there ... well 17 if you included the Robin. I stayed until about 2pm, so not sure if there were any later arrivals. An organiser said they were keeping the field open until 3pm just in case. I won't bother posting photo's ... they would just duplicate Rob's but I'll probably put them on flickr when I have sorted through them. Here's a log of those that made it in ... plus a few extra's because I walked up to the main gate to get the 4 gate guards. There were several lynx visible outside the MPSU, I could only read off the one nearest the fence line and the C172 was also 'base-side' of the fence near the museum. planemike ... The event website had page listing the expected aircraft for the event. As I type this the site / page is still there but who know how it will be up now the event is over. The address is: www.auster80.co.uk/whats-on/aircraftOh ... and if anybody is interested the "Demobbed" site (http://www.demobbed.org.uk/locations.php?location=1878) includes the other Lynx that were outside the MPSU hanger, I think taken from a post on the Touchdown News forum a couple of weeks ago. As I said I could only read off one them so can't guarantee the rest were still there on Saturday but it seems likely.
