Watching 'OV on the news being lowered into the water brought a tear to my eye. At least its having a usefull end to its life, better than the scrapmans torch.
I checked my logbook and i last flew 'OV on April 3rd 2006 from Liverpool to Blackpool as 'Gemstone 74E'.
Cheers
Shaun

OV was involved in a serious landing incident which seemed to partly lead to the demise of Emerald as a business from what I read on the AAIB reports. I also hate seeing aircraft end flying days like this or sitting burning to death in a desert.
