Yet again more problems for the LCY route, this evenings return already CXLd and outward leg still on ground.
For a lifeline route to central London, BA/Eastern really need to attack the inherent unreliability problem. This issue damages confidence of travellers.

Sitting at Gatwick awaiting my return to the IOM, I noted on Planefinder that PA32-300 N370WC was showing as outbound from IOM towards Dublin, mid-afternoon - confirmation anyone ?

In addition, from a reputational point of view, this ongoing charade must be quite damaging to BA, albeit in a very localised way. (I'm not sure that Eastern have much of a reputation to damage). I've no idea who ultimately pays all the EU261 compensation which is falling due, but I know from friends' experiences that BA are paying out, regularly. Perhaps the answer here would be for FlyBe to take the route on again, when they re-open their IOM base, next year?
