Hello Folks I seem to have found myself with a bit of time on my hands these last couple of days! So i have put together some photos from three trips out this week. Monday 13-04-10I tried a new location for me on Monday, its just North of Ambleside and is usually quite busy feeding traffic towards Thirlmere. That wasn't the case last Monday, with only one very high Hawk coming near my lens. However there was quite a bit of traffic in the area that afternoon, including 4 x Harrier GR9, 2 x Tornado GR4, 2 x Hawks and a Dominie. Tuesday 13-04-10Got up to Gummers How on Tuesday morning for a few hours. Not strictly a spotting trip, more out for a walk around the South end of Windermere with my camera in my rucksack. The only traffic was this Harrier in 4 Squadron markings (ZD375:23) believed now to be on strength with the Naval Strike Wing. It would make for an interesting garden ornament! Wednesday 14-04-10Wednesday saw me back at Dunmail Raise near Grasmere. The afternoon produced a quite high Valley Hawk, very low Hercules, a couple of Tucano, a Warton based PC-9 but the highlight was both Boscombe based RAFCAM Hawks. That final Hawk was the lowest i have seen a fast jet through Dunmail. Then some volcano went off and spoilt my fun! Hoping next week is ash free. Cheers Shaun
