EU Gov's to Compensate Airlines

Reported on Ryanairs site today that EU government's will have to compensate EU airlines for closure of airspace.

I saw a guy on the news today being interveiwed on behalf of the travel companies or airline industry, I couldn`t beleive that he smiled and said how impressed he was with the way stranded travellers had been brought home and had been so well looked after ? Especially when there are still in the region of thousands pf people still stuck abroad who have been downgraded as not priorty to be returned ?
