At my local cinema, Lucon, in The Vendée department of France' we see adverts for La Rochelle airport. These are quite well done and very eye catching. Change from time to time to keep them interesting for regular cinema goers. E.G. at the moment the emphasis is given to world wide connections through Paris Orly, and the new flight by Jet2 to Manchester.
Might be an idea for Liverpool to copy, if not already done.

Outside of EZY and FR there definitely needs to be a rethink of how the airport advertises as the message isn't getting across.

I see ads plastered everywhere for LJLA. Either on giant billboards, in merseyrail trains/stations and in local newspapers. Usually a photo of a landmark with the destination name across it. E.g. a photo of the coluseum with "ROME FROM LIVERPOOL". Which is great, however at best it only has blue air written in small at the bottom. I think alot of people will just check Easyjets and Ryanairs website and then give up and try Manchester.

I can't believe people still go to individual airlines rather than a general web search.

Skyscanner isn't reliable.
For example. I searched Liverpool to Amsterdam to fly on 5 Nov. The search returned many variations from Liverpool via MAN before it got to EZY from Liverpool and even then listed just two from the three flights.

I find these search for flight sites very useful but they are not the last word. I recently booked a flight with Norwegian which was the best for me. It was not suggested by Skyscanner, nor Kayak. From my interest in this hobby, I just happened to have an idea that Norwegian might operate the route… and they do... and I booked.
