My turn to visit Altcar today, and I bumped into some familiar faces Kenny Airbus and G-PHIL. I parked near Hightown station and walked the full length of the footpath next to the railway line, there is a left turn onto a footpath that follows a stream, then another left turn takes you down the back of the camp. The Wildcats operate from the grass near the main gate and the Chinooks operate from the main field. The Merlins operate from the back of the camp and are difficult to see due to trees. I must have walked 3-4 miles.
