The Electronics Business Unit of the Defence Support Group (DSG) occupies part of the Sealand site and will remain at Sealand after the closure of the RAF station in 2006. The business unit is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Avionic equipment and operates as part of a Trading Fund of the Ministry of Defence.
The MOD has contemplated using the site for several different purposes, one of the most controversial was the idea to turn Sealand into an Emergency Prison to cope with over crowded prisons in England and Wales.
Sealand's ranges are still used for shooting, where cadets from different services come to either compete or practice shooting.
Info from net search.

I've been searching a lot today to try & find out who the Spitfire belongs to, but with no success. The photo of the board next to it seems to show the logos of the BBMF, Lotus, Imperial War Museum, Vintage Fabrics LTD & 41 squadrons crest (in who's colours its painted)

Went past Woodvale today & saw that the police helicopter pad is still blocked off with what looks like a metal barrier.

31/5/10
A quiet day today with the Vigilants up most of the day & DR400 G-JUDE amongst the locals circuit bashing.
That concludes a busy month with the 100 years of flying event at Formby, the police helicopter attacked & the static Spitfire on show at the main entrance.
