Fascinating! I love the transliteration of the district names into Russian: APMCTOH (Armston) for Urmston, ХЕЙЛ (Heil) for Hale and ЛИ (Li) for Leigh. These are obviously taken from standard Ordnance Survey maps and overlaid with Russian script.
And to think that when I was visiting Moscow in the 70s, I couldn't even get a map for the Metro, let alone the city itself. "Нет карт" (nyet kart) I would be told when I asked.
