As we missed out on the recent Tornado Fly-pasts I thought I would put together a series of photos from first, XX947/P-03 on 08-07-1978 to the last that visited us ZA613/075 09-01-2019. I have no photos of the very early ones but plenty from later years. I will post the photos first and add the text later. By sheer co-incidence, as an article for FoLA's '09/27' I've been working on what reasons brought all the Tornados to have landed at Liverpool Airport here. A spin-off from that article research is a table of all the Tornados to have landed and a few of those on go-around of particular interest. Hopefully this will augment "Beemer's" excellent photographs illustrating not just the 'landers' but the vast number of times Tornado aircraft have been seen on 'practice diversion and go-around' at Liverpool.
