I was given a voucher for 2 ride for free on the East Lancashire Railway so decided to take advantage of some nice weather and take the little one on his first steam train ride. We visited Bury Transport Museum whilst waiting for the train. Both are definitely worth a visit. I'm up that way in a couple of weeks, so I shall make a point of visiting both the railway and the museum. The photos have whetted my appetite!

Ron it is a brilliant museum with a range of history from an original tram that ran through Heaton Park to a fairly recent tram ticket machine before they updated the whole system.
Garstonboy, I'm glad they have, there is no charge for visiting the museum.
