Nick, I think that you have hit the nail on the head with a very good explanation to Beemers question. Bob

Re Freightmaster:There is a subscription-based website here: freightmaster.net/payment.htmlNot entirely sure how it works, but I saw it recently when I was looking at the Sellafield operation.

I have been working at Warrington all this week and Mon-to Wednesday there has been a Freightliner working at about 15:20 when I am waiting for my train. None on Thursday and Friday Also each morning (Mon-Fri) there is a Freightliner working with Class 66 locomotive, about 07:35am. Happy Days Bob

Well it didn't take long to ask the question. She got on today and as she was getting off began talking about (due to a combination of track maintenance and our summer schedule) how difficult it has been to get to work recently. Unfortunately, when I asked my question she stood there, thought for a while, and then came back with - so, when does the summer schedule finish then? Now, with the possibility there may be some sort of breach in security here, I didn't repeat the question. Or, she may have been totally entranced with her own problems in getting to work that my question didn't actually register. Either way no answer was the reply. Still, not wishing to be outdone I've just done a trawl on the Internet and come up with this; www.inputyouth.co.uk/jobguides/job-railwaytraindriver.htmlHope it helps.

No Freightliner working this morning or this afternoon, going to and from work. Bob Unbelievable. You've actually posted a message that says you havent seen anything Whats the point of that? I might as well post a message everyday on the Manchester thread to say Ive been at work all day and havent managed to get to the airport!!! I dont suppose you'll stop til you get to a 1000. Dave, do us all a favour and edit his post count to infinity, then I might actually get to read a thread that contains some useful information. Angry of Manchester.

TBH, my post was tongue in cheek, but judging by my inbox I'm not the only one who thinks the same. Victimization? I have no control over other peoples actions, I'm just giving you my personal opinion. In reply to your deleted post, I'm not a member of any gang. Anyway, back to topic in hand. I didnt go to Bank Quay today and I didnt see any locos

;D Cloud warrior
I could say you were being sarcastic there with your comments, and ask for you to be zeroed as well, but I am not childish like that.
It is also a bit sad that your mates have sent you PM's about me but do not have the guts to put it on this forum.
Anyway onwards and upwards I started with nothing, I will just start again. You all got me about 50 docked the other week, but never mind I will just keep putting good stuff in for the MAJORITY of the members on this site and not the MINORITY who just seems to think about themselves.
Bob ;D

It's a long time since I took an active interest in train spotting. Used to see the Duchess of Bucleugh every morning going through Paisley Canal Street Station as I was on my way to school.
Good shots wizzair especially the two virgins together. You don't often see two virgins in one place! ;D

Anyone requiring local up to date and actual train movement info. re.Class 70's and other assorted loco haulage, there is a Yahoo group called 'Liverpool Rail' that amongst other things details freight movements originating or arriving in the Liverpool/Merseyside region, plus some areas that neighbour Merseyside. The group also includes any "out of the ordinary" passenger services/specials or unusual routings/haulage. Winwick, Arpley,Warrington, & Freightliner services, coalies, engineers trains and light engine movements all figure, as do details of the new 11 car Pendo route testing. The group is run by a fair number of railway staff so the info is accurate and dependable. (well.... 99% of the time) lol. finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/liverpool-rail/

I joined this yahoo group, but they are very strict about the area they cover. No mention is allowed of WCML workings, unless they are heading into Liverpool, so Warrington Bank Quay and Winwick are a definate nono.
