Hello Folks
I was looking through some old negatives yesterday from 2000 and saw a couple of folders containing Woodford Air Show 2000. A quick check revealed that this was the last Woodford Air Show ever!. Although there were plans for a show in 2001 it got cancelled well before the planned date of 09/06/2001.
The weather for the 2000 show on 03/06/2000 was heavy rain. The previous few shows at Woodford seemed to be cursed with rain too and I believe in part the decision to cancel the 2001 and subsequent years was due to the poor luck with the weather?.
I didn’t manage to photograph everything at the 2000 show and according to Scramble I missed some nice stuff ….suspect I was sheltering from the rain!. Apparently there was an F-117 in the flying display, of which I have no recollection what so ever ….that

The question i have been asking myself and could not find an answer too. Was this the last time a Lancaster was flown into and out of Woodford?. Anyone out there know?.
