I nipped down for the I- Legacy yesterday evening. As I drove up Viscount Drive an employee in a car was coming towards me at speed - he came that close his door mirror hit my door mirror smashing the casing. The road is very narrow by the mound with barely enough room for two cars to pass. He made no attempt to slow down or make allowances. An altercation then followed he insisted that he wasn't going to scratch his car on the brambles and was verbally abusive to me when I told him I would refer it to my Insurance company and submit dash cam footage. I was told to f*** off, you can can pay for your own f***ing damage, f*** off k***head. Charming attitude not, I am not going to name the Company he works for. Regular users of the mound will be familiar with staff thinking it is a racetrack. So please BEWARE.

so many people speed on that little lane
me and my family often go down there to watch the planes and we take the dog for a walk aswell and they fly up there and expect me to stand aside
there’s one car i always see like a black vw golf that flies up and down there like 40mph and i tell you something when they are turning out of viscount drive turning left out of it they never give way if you’re turning in they look at you like it’s your fault.

I think they would want to know about people speeding and being abusive on their land.

Martin.I think you should name and shame this individual also alert other spotters as to the make of the vehicle.there are quiet a few people from the airport who also speed along Oglet lane who are employed by LPL .it would be worth finding out the offical speed limet for both of these roads.

I have noticed staff thinking they could do what they like on this road in the past. If you dont want to name the company, at least post the type and colour of car so members can be aware. I would contact the company, he is an ambassador for them when out in a marked vehicle and I'm sure they will not condone this behaviour while on business, they should know who it is because he'll be moaning about the idiot who drove at him and smashed the mirror!!!!!

I would think that naming the company is a valid thing to do, can't see a problem.
The bad publicity this would bring would ensure action from them, particularly if one of their staff is abusive.

Thank you all for your replies. To clarify things John it was a private unmarked vehicle, and his car was undamaged so why would he moan ?. It was my car that was damaged.

I have been contacted by someone within the suspected Company who has read about the incident on here. I am not going to comment further until I hear from him again. It is now an Insurance company matter. All I will say is beware of a silver Saab Estate car.
