Hi
The BBC website has some video footage amongst the general floodings of a grass strip captioned as surrey - of a grass strip with water heading towards some abandoned light aircraft - but does anyone know which strip this is?
I have no idea so it's not a quiz where I can give the answer - Just interested - there is an Aztec on hard standing which appears airworthy - a number of clearly abandoned wrecks
I am sure I saw footage of the same strip in the last few months but where the water wasn't quite as far in towards the first lot of wrecks there are some more wrecks beyond the hedge / in front of hangars.
Can anyone identify it.

Brilliant - yes although having looked on google earth I can see its down the far RHS of the airfield beyond the runways - Bacon lane end. Don't think in my years I ever realised there are hangers are down there and from Google earth there are quite a few wrecks present - bet they would fill some gaps if you could ever get to it, which I doubt as it looks like airfield perimeter track access only.
Salfords stream runs alongside - plus having the gradient run off from the airfield itself.
Anyway good call
