fabulous images and great memories. Of course I remember Ken as an avid and active enthusiast and when he was employed by British eagle, I particularly remember the day the BE went bust and Ken and other staff, even though they were not now being paid, worked their butts off to help passengers, some of whom were not the kindest of people to deal with.
Strange how after all these years ago, these things can remain in your mind, waiting to be jogged to the forefront.

An interesting collection for sure. Amongst the older(late 60s)shots are a smattering from a good few years later. The first Viscount fully painted in the initial BA colours must have been 73/74? What event would have brought the BCal DC-10? I can't imagine they got Tens before the late 70s.I recall they were years behind Laker in doing so. It's a pity these fine images are not captioned.

The BCal was a Grand National Day charter, if I recall correctly - sometime around 1984?

Having taken a closer look, and consulted my logs, I am 99% certain I am sitting in the pilot's seat on G-AEML. (Only one seat up front.) Could be Jim Keen giving me some instruction. According to my log, I flew the machine home from a trip to Blackpool, with other flying club members.
