Hi Everyone, I'm looking at replacing my Fuji 8000 Bridge Camera and would like some advice on the better models out there as lost touch a little. I would use the camera mainly for aircraft and wildlife looking ideally for good quality pictures and easy to use between £200 - £400 Any help would be much appreciated Keep safe everyone Regards Les McS

Hi Les. Personally I would be tempted to stay with the Fuji brand, as they use a lot of Nikon parts and I think most,if not all, the cameras have an eye piece so that you can view your subject through the lens in the conventional way. I changed mine to a Nikon a few years ago which takes greatimages but you can only view with the LCD screen which is no always ideal on bright days with reflections and bright sunlight etc. The only reason I changed my Fuji was because I needed more than 15 x zoom. However I'll stick with what I've got because its used on days out, museums and statics etc. For everything else I use a DSLR. If I was ever to change the bridge camera I think I would go back to Fuji. Just my view on the subject. Cheers John 'flightpath'.

Hi Les
I forgot to reply to this at the time you posted the original question, sorry
I use a Canon SX60 bridge camera, I’ve also used Panasonic FZ range cameras - I originally wanted one because of the very long zoom
Check out the link to my Flickr page below to see what results I get - just check below the image to see which camera I used, I keep a Canon compact with me all the time so images may be with that one
Let us know which you go with
Thanks Ian

Thanks for your comments John and Ian your advice is much appreciated I’ll let you know what I decide on. Maybe a while as I would like to view them in a shop in reality rather than buying on line without viewing. Thanks again Les 😎

I changed mine to a Nikon a few years ago which takes great images but you can only view with the LCD screen which is not always ideal on bright days with reflections and bright sunlight etc. Cheers John 'flightpath'. I use a Nikon Coolpix bridge camera, as John said the LCD screen is not always ideal on very bright days however it tilts which can be very useful (taking photos
over fences). Plenty of my photos on here if you have not already seen them. Regards Martin.
